Just wanted to leave ...

Just wanted to leave a thank you for one of the lovely front desk clerks, Alex. This was in 2010, I was 11 years old. Alex was so attentive and nice to us having travelled all the way from New Zealand. We arrived early in the morning to the hotel and unfortunately there was not a room available at the time. Alex had such a friendly smile and demeanour. He ensured that our wait was as pleasurable as possible. He constantly kept us updated about the status of the rooms. He provided my parents a place to rest after the long journey with a pillow for one of the sofas in the lobby. We were allowed to use the pool whilst we waited for our room also. He had some fun chats with my sister and I as well as giving us quarters from his own pocket to play the couple of arcade games in the lobby (pinball and whatnot). He allowed us to use the computer out the back to look up things to do, places to see and to play online games to keep my sister and I entertained. He essentially relieved our exhausted parents from babysitting duties for several hours so they could have a well deserved rest!! Haha. After all of this, I tried to tip Alex for his amazing hospitality but he graciously refused. For some reason, this experience has had a lasting impact on me and although I’m sure Alex has moved on from the Dessert Palms, his service and the lasting impact of said service on a young kid as I was at the time, should be recognised.

Room was amazing, spacious, ...

Room was amazing, spacious, with a really great setup. It was a 10 minute walk from our hotel to the parks. The breakfast was fine, not the best but not the worst either. The service at first was a little bit difficult as we had a weird situation but thanks to our travel agent it was resolved. Would definitely recommend people stay here.
