This hotel was a gamble and it worked out great. We had 3 adults and 2 kids and their double room with the double bathroom was perfect. It is a quick 10 minute walk to Disneyland, on a protected sidewalk. Super easy for even my youngest who is a complainer! The hotel lobby has Disney touches everywhere, which was fun for the kids. The buffet breakfast was surprisingly good, with lots of choices, and quality food for a hotel buffet. The walls were thin and the hotel is very loud. Guests were up early in the morning and late at night going to/from Disneyland so that made it a little hard to sleep. Our room faced the pool, which had guests swimming until late at night, which was also loud. But, my guess is that is the case at most hotels around Disneyland. It definitely felt like a “budget” hotel with the dated decorations, thin linens, and minimal daily housekeeping. Also, the room lacked blackout curtains, so the bright pool lights made it bright at night and the early morning sun woke us up in the morning.However, because of the proximity to Disneyland and the various room layout options we will definitely stay here in the future.

Rooms are nice, average size (we got a double queen room). Also, the obvious perk of this place is location, location, location: being <1 mile walk from the Disneyland entrance was great, along with other nearby restaurant options. Also, the 7-11 next door made it easy to get food for our little one. Pack-and-play was average hotel quality, worked fine for us. The front desk was helpful: we had a question about the room fridge temperature (note: with the 1-5 scale, 5 is the coldest!), they were quick to find the answer and let us know. I don't know why I didn't ask front desk, but there were no soap bars in the bathroom. Just the attached-to-the-wall body wash and shampoo. If you need those, be sure to ask.

About a 10 minute walk to Disneyland parks, and with lots of dining options in house and close by. This was a great experience and will definitely consider staying here on future trips!

We’ve stayed at Desert Palms on multiple occasions while we visited Disneyland, the beach, and other sporting events. The hotel staff has always been very friendly and nice. The rooms are always clean and spacious. We normally travel with kids and book the rooms with bunk beds, they love it. The continental breakfast is delicious. We also love the pool and available parking.
