Wir waren 4 Nächte in diesem Hotel in Anaheim bei L.A. und auch zufrieden. Die Zimmer sind etwas hellhörig und wir hatten eines zum Parkplatz raus. Allerdings haben wir dort "nur" geschlafen und waren ansonsten eh nur unterwegs. An der Rezeption war zumindest die für uns zuständige Mitarbeiterin leider etwas zu professionell bis fast unfreundlich und wir mußten für manche Infos dann doch noch nachfragen. Kannten wir von anderen Hotels anders (z.B. wenn es schon frühstück gibt, dass wir die Info erhalten wo). Ansonsten war das Zimmer ausreichend groß, alles sauber und ordentlich. Roomservice war quasi nicht vorhanden. Tip lag am Ende des Tages immer noch dort, wo wir es hingelegt hatten. Lediglich frische Handtücher gabs. Obwohl genau das nicht nötig gewesen wär (nicht auf den Boden gelegt, wie lt. Flyer gewünscht). Das Frühstück war typisch amerikanisch aber eher im unteren Level. Plastikgeschirr und Besteck, nur Einweg und die Qualität (naja). Es wurde auch nicht immer alles nachgefüllt. Da wir aber die Preise für Frühstück auswärts kennengelernt haben, will ich mal nicht so sein. Wir wurden satt. Einen Pool und Whirlpool gibt es. Die Nähe zu den Disney Parks (ca. 15 min. zu Fuß) ist natürlich Mega. Nach L.A. in die Stadt oder nach Long Beach ist es recht weit zu fahren, aber das wußten wir vorher. Da wir eben auch in den Disney Park wollten, haben wir hier die Nähe gesucht. Abends hat man dann akustisch immer das Feuerwerk aus dem Disney Park gehört, dass aber zu einer angemessenen Zeit auch zu Ende war. Fenster zum Hof konnte man im EG nicht öffnen, Klimaanlage geht aber. Dennoch 4 Sterne insgesamt für Lage und Comfort. Parkplatz Preis noch angemessen für Stadt. Für ein paar Nächte absolut in Ordnung, für einen Besuch im Disney Park optimal gelegen.

I really like staying here. They only have one working elevator, though....and it's becoming an issue. The rooms are always cleah, though and the overall ammenities are great.

We stayed here in May 2023 and it was an overall great stay. 100% I would recommend to any of my friends. The staff were friendly. The location is great as it’s only 10 or so minutes to Disneyland + there are tons of restaurants around. It’s also close to the Garden Walk (Cheesecake Factory!). The rooms are very spacious with plenty of places to put luggage that won’t get in the way. The free breakfast was more than satisfactory to load up before a gruelling day at the Park. There are some nitpicks for me though that bring me down to a 4 star review. The hot tub is small and was often full of people. The breakfast, though more than good enough for me lacked selection - there was always an egg and potato option, but didn’t have items I would normally see at breakfasts like having more than 1 type of tea, more than 1 yogurt flavour and only 1 flavour of jam (and no peanut butter). The hotel is also conveniently located beside a bus stop and 7-11, but with that you get a lot of homeless and mentally ill people hanging around (but I never felt unsafe).

Stayed here after a 2 night stay at a Disney themed hotel (Paradise Pier) and have to say, we would probably come back to Desert Palm over Paradise Pier. Full hot breakfast was included, same amount of time to get to the park (walking) and the rooms felt newer. We stayed in the 2 bedroom, 2 bath suite with another family of 4 (we also have 4), it was a little snug but absolutely worked out fine. The only thing was the front desk staff could have been a little more service oriented and friendly. Every encounter with them seemed like they were put off by having to talk to us. Also, when I asked about location of Coffee Bean Cafe, she only knew where the Starbucks was. Upon closer inspection on my own, Coffee Bean was actually right across the street. Lol. I guess I could have just looked on my own and not asked, my bad. Also, strip mall across the street has good food options if you don't want to to eat in the parks!!! :)
