The Holidays at the Disneyland Resort

 

Now through January 7th! If you think the happiest place on earth can't possibly get even more magical you have never visited during the Holidays! With festive cheer throughout the park including Main Street storefront, lampposts and rooftops lined with holiday garland and wreaths and a towering Christmas tree right at the entrance of it all you can't help but be merry! Let's take a look at holiday fun you can experience this year at the Disneyland Resort.

 

Disneyland Park

 

  • A Christmas Fantasy Parade – a classic of the Holidays at the Disneyland Resort. See dancing snowmen, marking toy soldiers, and even a visit from Santa himself.
  • It's a Small World Holiday – You've never seen a light display like this! The It's a Small World attraction gets a festive makeover inside and outside the attraction.
  • Believe…In Holiday Magic Fireworks show – How many other fireworks shows snow at the end?? This is a must see on your visit!
  • Haunted Mansion Holiday – Check out Jack and his friend's chilling take on Christmas at the classic Haunted Mansion attraction.

 

Disney's California Adventure Park

 

  • Disney's Festival of Holidays – An instant classic, the Festival of Holidays at Disney's California Adventure Park gives guests a look and taste at celebrations from around the world, including Christmas, Navidad, Hanukkah, Diwali, & Kwanzaa. This year there are 8 offerings in the Festive Food Marketplace throughout Disney's California Adventure Park. Some options include "A Twist on Tradition" featuring a savory Kugel Mac & Cheese; "Favorite Things" Featuring the Mad Santa Macaron; and "Merry Mash ups" Featuring Santa's Milk and Cookies Hot Coco. Save with a Sip and Savor Pass, which provides 8 "tastings" for each pass you can use at any marketplace location. The fun of this festival goes past food though, you can also enjoy cultural performances including Most Kosher, honoring Hanukkah; Blue13 Dance Company, celebrating Diwali; and The Mistletoes, celebrating Christmas and the spirit of Kwanzaa.
  • Disney Viva Navidad! – Enjoy cultural performers, food, and character meet and greets during this celebration.
  • Santa's Holiday Visit – Meet Santa and his joyful elves at the Redwood Creek Challenge through December 24th.
  • World of Color - Season of Light – The spectacular World of Color nighttime show gets a holiday overlay where you can expect to see all of your favorite winter characters make an appearance.
  • The Holidays at Cars Land – 2 of our favorite rides get taken over by the holiday spirit every Christmas, Mater's Jingle jamboree and Luigi's Joy to the Whirl. 

 

Downtown Disney District

 

  • Check everyone off your list at Downtown Disney District. With a variety of shops including World of Disney, Star Wars Trading Post, and the LEGO store, your holiday shopping will be a breeze.
  • For the first time in forever (or ever, in this case) there will be snowfall at Downtown Disney District! It will happen nightly, every half hour from 6pm – 10pm between Jazz Kitchen Coastal Grill & Patio and Black Tap Burgers & Shakes. This will kick off November 24th and last all the way until December 31st.
  • Enjoy magical Christmas décor, the Downtown Disney District will be just as decked out in holiday magic as either of their parks (and its entrance is free!).
  • Catch a live holiday performance at the Downtown Disney LIVE! Stage.
  • Kids Activities – Kids can make colorful paper garlands celebrating many different holidays at the complimentary holiday crafts table daily from 11:00am – 5:00pm. They can also take part in the word puzzle scavenger hunt game. Find 7 holiday icons to solve the missing word puzzle.
  • Have a holiday feast – all of your favorite restaurants in the Downtown Disney District are offering great holiday menu items! Try the Holiday Pozole at Tortilla Jo's, or the Peppermint Hot Chocolate from Splitville Luxury Lanes. Don't forget to stop by Marceline's Confectionery for some iconic Disney holiday treats including caramel apples, cake pops, and more.
