Universal Studio's Halloween Horror Nights is one of the best theme park after-hours events in SoCal, (and the scariest in our opinion!) This year you can attend the event select nights September 8 through October 31. There will be no shortage of scares and thrills with 8 haunted mazes, the Terror Tram, and dedicated scare zones throughout the park. Read on to get a sneak peak of the 4 announced mazes so far.
The brand new maze and main event this year is The Weeknd: After Hours Nightmare. If you are a fan of The Weeknd's music this might just be the highlight of your night. The Weeknd will stalk you through a surreal nightmare featuring an otherworldy rave and a mannequin masquerade. "His nightmare is now yours".
The Horrors of Blumhouse maze will take you through a double feature. First you'll walk into "Freaky" and be caught in the middle of a frantic teen and ruthless killer after her. Then just when you think you've escaped that nightmare you'll plunge into "The Black Phone", where you will have to try to escape a dark basement before you become the Grabber's next victim.
Next you can step into the original 1978 horror classic in the maze Halloween. Michael Myers is never far behind as you frantically try to escape this nightmare. It always seems to the original monsters that are the scariest…
Speaking of originals, The Universal Monsters: Legends Collide maze features The Wolf Man, Dracula, and The Mummy, together for the first time ever. They are on a mission to break a curse and you are in their way. This is one epic battle you will want to be caught in the middle of for a frightening time.
Mazes are not all you will have to look forward to during this event. Don't miss the Terror Tram. A trip that will take you through classic movie sets and give you the opportunity to walk through one! You can check out "outrageous live entertainment with diabolical surprises" and "scream-filled Scare Zones" where you will come face to face with nightmarish creatures. The parks most exhilarating rides and attractions will also be open during the event. Get in the spooky spirit with themed food, drinks, and merchandise before you depart.
Tickets are available online now for this frightening event. You can purchase tickets for only the after-hours event or take advantage of the day and night pass, where you can enter the park earlier in the day and enjoy it during regular operating hours as well. This event is not recommended for children under the age of 13.
